Freedom for Youth Ministries will host a winter Freedom Quest Tuesday, Feb 6, from 5:30 to 7 pm at the Greene County Elementary School gym. This is a free family event with crafts, games, prizes, food and music. The evening also includes the message of Jesus through a fun scavenger hunt. There will be a second event hosted later in the spring on April 3 at the same time and venue.
Freedom Quest is a traveling ministry event scheduled to be in Chariton, Albia, Creston, Greenfield, Boone and Jefferson twice this spring. “We hope these events will help us continue to build relationships in the community and inspire people to get involved with starting a local youth center,” said April Anderson, Freedom for Youth south central regional manager.
Freedom for Youth Ministries launches youth centers throughout the state of Iowa, and the ministry is gearing up to start a center in Jefferson. “We want to provide a safe place where youth can come and discover their gifts and talents and grow in the areas of faith, education, employment, and leadership,” Anderson said.
